Project milestones

The menu work has evolved into a reusable set of patterns rather than one one-off display.

Reusable layouts

  • Built responsive patterns for several business types
  • Standardized menu sections, item details, specials, and hours

Multiple display contexts

  • Designed for TVs, kiosks, counters, mobile devices, and public links
  • Kept layouts readable across changing screen sizes

Safer experimentation

  • Preserved clear demo/client separation
  • Used shared patterns instead of copying page-specific behavior

Ongoing work

  • Continue consolidating reusable display and editing components
  • Continue testing presentation patterns against real menu needs

Behind the Curtain

These demos use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with responsive display layouts, shared components, and configurable menu data. Client and demo boards remain separate so display patterns can be tested without presenting unfinished work as a production client implementation.

Could a menu board pattern be useful?
